First State Record Fish Of 2025
We’re excited to report that the first state record fish has been established for 2025! Dylan Kampnich of Dexter, NY caught a 40 inch, 37 lb. 9 oz. channel catfish from Black River Bay in Jefferson County on May 3 while fishing from shore with his son. His catfish broke the 3 year old record (that was also caught from Black River Bay) by almost 2 pounds. Something tells us this isn’t the last state record from that water! Congratulations Dylan!
