Tournament Report: Hawg Hunters – Hutchins Lake

The Hawg Hunters hit Hutchins Lake in Fennville for the last tournament for the AOY race. The year ended with Doug in Benie solidly in first place! They ended their season with a solid 57.79lbs, giving them over a pound advantage over Vic and Brandy’s 56.07.

The Hutchins tournament was a solid one for us in which we placed third, moving us up to fourth overall. We bagged our first limit of the season utilizing spinnerbaits and a Jackall TN/70. The real hero of the day for us proved to be a black and red night spinnerbait even though the water was just stained. We spent our day on the major flat nearest the landing just chucking away.

Matt ended up grabbing the Advantage Baits big fish for the day with 2.61, though it wasn’t a monster it was worth money and that’s all that matters during these events!  John and Brian took first for the event with 8.54, Vic and Brandy grabbed second with 8.38, followed by us with 7lbs even.
