Throughout the country fish are being stocked, from crappie to muskie these fish all have one thing in common, the food. While they are growing in the hatchery these fish all eat a similar, if not the same, artificial fish food, so why wouldn’t it work with spectacular results on your day-to-day bodies of water?
At first I’ll be honest, I kind of thought it all seemed a little crazy but in reality one man’s crazy is another man’s stroke of genius. I really can’t help but think “Why hasn’t this been done?” I mean really, why hasn’t it been done! Stubby Steve’s offers something that has been an important part of growing big fish in your private pond and something that is integral in maintaining a strong gamefish population in some parts of the country.
The Stubby Steve’s Artificial Fish Food is just a small 3/8″ pellet that goes onto any hook, I used mine as an “addition” to my favorite jerkbait since it is a jerk-jerk-pause presentation. The added scent of the foul smelling pellet seemed to work because on the first cast I picked up a keeper largemouth and the perch were going absolutely bananas for it!
Stubby Steve, the guy behind the product has 25 years of time behind practicing in the veterinary field; the guy also has two undergraduate degrees in Animal Science and Nutrition which mean he knows animals and the food they eat. To me that means the man knows exactly what to put infront a fish.
Stubby Steve’s is biodegradable which mean the sensitive little ones can’t complain too much if the bait falls off into the water. With that being said this product is one that my nieces and nephew will more than likely use for years to come, and I may even throw it on the back of my favorite baits from time to time!
