PRADCO-Fishing was recently presented with the “Supplier Award of Excellence” for the first quarter of 2013 by Walmart.
PRADCO-Fishing was recognized for its creativity in executing a very successful national promotion featuring a variety of top lure brands such as YUM, Bomber, Rebel, Heddon, Cotton Cordell and Arbogast. Available for a great price, the lure assortments were merchandised creatively in canoes and boats in many stores, which resonated with consumers and translated into very strong sales.
“This award is a reflection of our company’s commitment to serve our customers, and in this case, to serve Walmart, with our powerful stable of national fishing brands and lures,” said Bruce Stanton, Vice President and General Manager of PRADCO-Fishing. “This award reflects the professionals we have in sales, marketing, customer service, operations and upper management.
“We have had positive management changes recently with Ron Ten Berge named as President of PRADCO Outdoor Brands and Chris Gulstad as Executive Director of Marketing for Fishing brands, and the new attitude combined with our strong brand portfolio is working. Don Wilson is doing a tremendous job as a veteran Walmart sales executive, and George West, our Executive Director of Operations, made sure all deadlines were met for this major promotion.”
PRADCO-Fishing used a combination of domestic and international manufacturing locations to hit $1.50 retail price points for the promotion. The combination of well-known fishing brands and lures with strong pricing, on-time execution and national distribution made the program a success for both Walmart and PRADCO-Fishing.
