Bassmaster Southern Open: Lake Kissimmee Day One Results

Bassmaster Open

Today kicked off the Open schedule for the Bassmaster Series. Lake Kissimmee is the venue for this event, with 198 boats hitting the water the pressure was on and most anglers caught fish though the size wasn’t there for some.

Local boater Daniel Lanier grabbed 27 pounds 11 ounces, giving him a commanding lead over runner up Tracy Adams who ended his day with 18-7. With a lead of just over nine pounds Lanier has some room to breathe, especially since he grabbed the Carhatt Big Bass for Day One on the boater side.

On the Co side of things Johnny Pittman brought in a bag that would have netted him second place, 19 pounds and one ounce, nearly a six pound lead over Brian Kelly. Pittman also snatched up the Carhartt Big Bass with a 10 pound-four ounce monster.
